   August 1998 was the start of a whole new life for me. It all began when my wife gave birth to our little princess Izabella. Getting adjusted to life with a new baby was amazing, but little did I know that a second birth was just over the horizon. Then September came, and our new restaurant in Medford was born. With the help of my mom Janet, who was also my business partner, we opened our new pride and joy, Izzie's Eatery. The name was a unanimous decision, how could it not be? I had two life changing events occur within months of each other, this was the beginning of a whole new life for me.

   My mom Janet and I had specific ideas on how to make Izzie's a success. We wanted to make sure everyone was happy all around. From the kitchen, which was my territory to the dining room, which was her specialty, we knew what we needed to do to make Izzie's successful. Even though my mom is no longer with us, there are memories of her all through the restaurant. If you were lucky enough to have known her then you know how particular she was about her dining room. Her strict orders and set ways have molded the dining area of Izzie's into what it is today.

   From day one of Izzie's we always had special additions to the menu. What started out as maybe five or six has evolved into many creative appetizers, soups, salads, sandwhiches, seafood, meats and pasta dishes. Although the crabcakes are always a favorite at Izzie's, many more innovative dishes have made ther way to the daily specials list. From the roasted pepper with crab soup, to the crispy garlic mussels, to the grilled chicken salad with pistacio dressing you really can't go wrong with any choice.

   The daily specials give me the chance to use my creativity on a daily basis. I am always thinking of new ways to prepare my food to keep our customers interested and guessing what will be next. We pride ourselves in using only the finest, freshest ingredients. Anything less would be unacceptable. I work endless hours to give my customers a dining experience they will never forget, which is why we have so many regular customers who come in many times a week.

   I truly enjoy what I do, so when customers stop me to compliment me on their meal, it makes what I do everyday all the more enjoyable and worth it. My team of friendly and hard working employees help me to complete the whole Izzie's experience. I intend on Izzie's being a staple in Medford for many years to come, especially with three kids who intend on being the future of Izzie's!
